Thrombotic effects of TiO2 NPs exposure after intravenously injection to rat. (a) Blood was freshly collected from 8-week-old SD rats, and isolated rat RBCs were further incubated with various concentrations (0, 5, 10 and 25 μg/mL) of TiO2 NPs. (a, left) PS exposure as well as (a, right) thrombin generation were evaluated. (b) In a venous animal model, various doses of TiO2 NPs was intravenously injected to rats, and 1 h later, thrombus formation was assessed.
