  1. a A/J mice were treated with corn oil (control) or MCA (10 μg/g) and then aspirated with 5 weekly doses of either PBS or V2O5 (4 mg/kg). Animals were sacrificed 21 days after the last aspiration. Protein (μg/mL) concentration and inflammation were measured in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and data are expressed as cells (×103) per mL of BALF. Data represent the mean ± SEM (n = 4-7 animals/group).
